HYBE has confirmed that several of their groups are making an early comeback, among which is the fan-favorite fromis_9. According to reports of multiple industry officials, the band has recently wrapped up the preparations for its new album and is anticipating its comeback with bated breath.
An official also reportedly said on 14th February that the band is planning to make their comeback somewhere in the middle of March and they have recently finished shooting for a music video in South Korea. The official seemed to have been really amped up about the video, the filming period for which alone took two weeks; and also said that the video would also entail a lot of unprecedented content that had never been seen in any video by formis_9 yet.
Apart from being truly confident about the video, they also revealed that the band will be releasing their first full-length album after their debut. They mentioned that they would be releasing the promotion schedule and a comeback teaser for formis_9 soon.
The band had previously released 5 mini albums and 5 single ones so far. The anticipated album this year would be their first, after the debut, as an eight-member group release after the former member Jang Gyuri quit the band the previous year in July to focus on her acting career. In August 2022, she signed a contract with Just Entertainment. In the same year, she starred in the SBS television series Cheer Up, which became her first project after leaving the group.
Earlier this year, the group’s member Lee Chae Young was seen ending the live stream she began with her fans on the fan community app WeVerse in tears after one of the fans kept posting malicious comments towards the singer, and hurling abusive comments towards her and her family.
Not just formis_9, HYBE has also confirmed the return plans for groups like NewJeans, TXT, and SEVENTEEN in 2023, with NewJeans having released their comeback album “OMG” on 2 January 2023. The new album created a massive buzz online and built up anticipation for the other groups.
A briefing video by HYBE was released on November 10, 2022, that not only confirmed new releases by the major groups this year but also announced that several upcoming groups are lined up to debut under the sub-labels of HYBE. The officials also announced that their key group BTS will be focused on venturing into more solo projects.
