Spotify Wrapped 2022: The Year Of Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, And Taylor Swift

It is the time of the year when the snowfall has begun and the holiday music is ringing in households. But what makes winter even more special for music lovers? Of course, the Spotify-wrapped event. After a complete year of waiting, global Spotify users can finally get to see which artists and which songs ended up on their wrapped charts. Collecting the data of an entire year, the online music streaming platform, Spotify has also released its year-end global charts of 2022 which had some surprising entries with artists who have made histories.

 The global chart of Spotify this year was all about Bad Bunny. He topped the chart for three years in a row with over 18.5 billion streams which gave him the crown of Spotify’s top global artist. The Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny’s album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ helped him again this year to achieve the milestone which also became the most streamed global album of 2022.

Following her recent album ‘Midnights‘ and its huge global success, Taylor Swift took second place of being the most streamed global artist of 2022. Drake, with his smash hits of this year, especially from his album ‘Her Loss‘ with 21 Savage earned him the 3rd space. Following the rapper, the fourth place was taken by the Canadian charmer, the Weeknd who is still touring in his ‘After Dawn FM‘. the 5th position was saved for the global phenomena, the Korean boy band, BTS.

 The international single charts were ruled by Harry Styles as his smash hit single ‘As It Was’ gathered more than 1.6 Billion streams. This was the single of the British singer’s third studio album, ‘Harry’s House’ which charted on billboard’s hot 100 charts for 15 consecutive weeks. It also reigned over the UK’s Singles chart for the entire 10 weeks. The second position was secured for Glass Animal’s ‘Heat Waves’ followed by Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s 2021 hit ‘STAY’ at the third position. Both the fourth and fifth positions were filled by Bad Bunny with his singles, “Me Porto Bonito” with the featured artist Chencho Corleone; and ‘Tití Me Preguntó’.

 In addition to this wrapped chart, which is now available for both android and ios users, Artists Wrapped introduced new features like “Your Artist Messages” and “Spotlight“.
