While strumming her guitar, she said, “This is what it all really comes down to, for me, in the show”. She also added, “It’s just the most amount of, like, ‘Don’t mess this up. Don’t mess this up,’ ’cause it’s also my favorite part of the show.” Then she started to tell the crowd, “This one, I’m gonna,” but her voice trailed out. After a few seconds of pause, she announced, “I’m gonna call this ‘The Murder Mashup.’”

Then she started to sing, “Carolina creeks running through my veins/ Lost I was born, lonesome I came/ Lonesome I’ll always stay/ Carolina knows why for years I roam/ Free as these birds, light as whispers/ Carolina knows.” Continuing the ballad she added, “There are places I will never, ever go/ And things that only Carolina will ever know.” She sang of the film and added elements that would allow anyone to have a great time.

While recalling a “torrid affair”, she sang, “She thought about how he said since she was so wise beyond her years, everything had been above board.” The elements of this affair brought back the story of a woman in her young years involved with an older man, and it thus reflects their story in their Tortured Poets track, Swift added, “She wasn’t sure.”

Afterward, she concocted her 2024 release “The Manuscript” with her 2012 release “Red”, singing, “Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes/ Tell myself it’s time now, gotta let go/ But moving on from him is impossible/ When I still see it all in my head/ In burning red … Loving him was red.” You can watch the clip everywhere on social media.
