SZA Is Overwhelmed After Being A Part Of Kendrick’s Album

SZA recently appeared on the Sherri Shepherd show, called ‘Sherri’ and talked about her recent collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. In the recent album of Lamar, ‘GNX’, SZA has been part of two songs. Both of them came together for the tracks ‘Gloria’ and ‘Luther’. During the conversation, SZA said how she loved working with Lamar. She even said that she would love to come up with a joint album with Kendrick Lamar.

When asked about working on an album together, she said ‘I would love that,I think that would be amazing. He’s such a genius and a part of his genius is being so elusive and so mysterious’. She also added by saying ‘When ‘Luther’ came out, I said ‘OK — that’s the vocals we’re using, period. Same with ‘Gloria,’ I said, ‘OK!’

The ‘Kill Bill’ singer continued by saying ‘That’s part of the fumbling and finding. I feel like he’s a huge part of my fumbling and finding era because I’m just trusting all of his expertise and being thrust into these moments and spotlight and saying ‘yes’. He’s so good at saying yes but staying grounded’. While working on a song with Lamar, SZA said she got to learn a lot from him. She said that she asked Lamar ‘Teach me, sensei, what you know’.

Right after collaborating with the rapper, SZA is also now going on tour with him. Kendrick Lamar is going on the Grand National Tour and they are going to be co-headlining the tour. She stated ‘There’s so many firsts happening back-to-back. I can’t express what it’s like to go through life for the first time in front of everybody’. Previously this, SZA did only one arena tour. Apart from that she hasn’t done any tour in her career. For that reason, she is going to join Lamar on his tour.

The artist also shared that when she goes on stage to perform, all she thinks about is Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, and Pink. She even added ‘I want to tap into the cosplay of it all and have fun and just get lost’. Right now, everyone is extremely excited to watch them perform on the Grand National Tour, which is going to kick start soon.
