Texas School Shooting

Taylor Swift has expressed her grief for the 18 school children who died in the most recent school shooting massacre in Uvalde, Texas. She even broke her months-long self-imposed break from Twitter to share an emotional video of Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors. His team prepared to have a match at the home arena of the Dallas Mavericks, hundreds of miles from the scene of the horrific event that took place this Tuesday.

She wrote in her post, ‘Filled with rage and grief, and so broken by the murders in Uvalde. By Buffalo, Laguna Woods and so many others.’ She further said, ‘By the ways in which we, as a nation, have become conditioned to unfathomable and unbearable heartbreak. Steve’s words ring so true and cut so deep.’ Her grief-stricken reaction explains how hurt she feels due to the incident.

While speaking before game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals, Kerr did not want to talk about the game. Instead, he for gun control laws to the government. He expressed his frustration by asking when people were going to do something. He said that he was tired of coming to the place and offering his condolences to the devastated families whose children are the victim of the shooting. He said sorry and excused himself and further said that he was tired of the ‘moments of silence’. He tried to hold back his tear and said things have gone too far.

Kerr has always been a supporter of gun control in the United States. He called out to the senators of the country whether they are going to put their desire for power ahead of the lives of the children, elderly, and churchgoers. He said all the 50 senators in the country refused to vote on HR8. The background check before selling guns rule had been passed by the House a few years ago but it still has not been implemented.

At least 18 children and 2 adults have died in the Texas school shooting massacre when a teen opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
