Iconic pop star Taylor Swift has ranked her eighth no.1 with her studio album, titled ‘Evermore’ on the climax of this year, 2020.
The surprise release of this album has secured the top of the Billboard 200 of the year 2020.
Her latest album earned almost 329,000 album units in the US which is the largest number for any other album to be its fifth-largest week. The statistics are taken from Nielsen Music/MRC Data in the ending week, 17th December.
The album ‘Evermore’ was released on 11th December, under the production of Republic records.
With a little warning, the album has been released only over digital streaming platforms. It is available as a digital download over iTunes and other traditional retailers.

The CD edition arrived in the stores on Friday, 18th December. The cassette edition and vinyl LP recordings will arrive in 2021.
The earlier album by this artist, named ‘Folklore’ has also atop the list of Billboard 200.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on the U.S.A. The parameters of the ranking are based on two aspects, such as track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale.
Swift continues to hold the No. 1 position in the Billboards chart for the eighth time. Another singer who beholds this position is Madonna with 9. The Beatles had a record of 19 No.1s.
Taylor Swift is the first female singer who claimed the No.1 spot in the Billboard 200 of 2020. The earlier album ‘Folklore’ topped the list too in August. The k-pop band BTS has also managed to do this.
Notably, the album’s first week went really great with 167,000 SEA units which equal 220.49 million on-demand streams.
