The upcoming Billboard Music Awards for 2020 is all set to honor some of the biggest women achievers in music like Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, and Dolly Parton.
2020 is continuing to be one hell of a year for rapper Cardi B as she thrives high with the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping song ‘WAP’. Other than that, she also launched a new collection in collaboration with Reebok and expressed her activism in politics. The year will now be wrapped up for her with the title of Woman of the Year as announced by Billboard under the category of Women in Music on the upcoming December 10 event. Owing to the virus, the 15th annual music gala will take place online and the live streaming will start from 8:00 p.m. ET. This year’s award show will be hosted by Teyana Taylor and is sponsored by American Express and Honda. Jennifer Lopez will also be receiving the prestigious Icon Award for her contribution to music and will join the legacy of previous recipients like Aretha Franklin, Shania Twain, Mary J. Blige, and others.
Dua Lipa will also be receiving the Powerhouse Award for the album Future Nostalgia for its breakthrough domination across streaming platforms and radio. Other recipients of other titles include Dolly Parton who will be receiving the Hitmaker Award for her musical contribution to cultural growth, Chloe x Halle will receive the Rising Star Award, among many others.
