The Chainsmokers Say They’re “Glad” to Be Taking Part In the Reproductive Rights Battle

There was no way to predict that “Paris,” a song by the band, would one day appeal to proponents of reproductive rights.

Five years later, the band finds themselves in that situation.

Thanks in part to the lines “if we go down, then we go down together,” which have acquired fresh significance in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the sentimental ballad is gaining new listeners on TikTok.

Thousands of TikTokers returned to “Paris” after the SCOTUS’ contentious June 24 decision, which nullified 50 years of reproductive rights in the U.S. and used the number as a rallying cry.

“Paris,” one of Chainsmokers’ five top 10 chart performances, peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a mainstream smash.

Taylor Swift, Halsey Madonna, Pink, Eminem, Pearl Jam, and The Chainsmokers are among the artists that have commented on the Roe v. Wade decision on social media.

The duo’s fourth and most recent studio album, “So Far, So Good,” was released in May and immediately debuted at the top of Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.

Staples were used to closing a cut on the back of Holder’s skull when he appeared in court with puffy eyes.

Two inmates attacked him while he was in a holding cell on Tuesday, waiting to appear in court, according to his attorney Aaron Jansen. They punched him and cut him with a razor.

The reason behind the attack remained unclear and was left out of discussion in the court.

When Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, was killed at age 33, he had just released his major-label debut album after receiving years of underground acclaim. He had also been nominated for his first Grammy Award.
