Bangtan Boys, popularly known as BTS has made a major announcement regarding their next upcoming album. The album is due to be released on June 10 of this year.

BTS ends Las Vegas concert

At a concert in Las Vegas this weekend, BTS announced the release date for their next studio album.

A dramatic montage of BTS music videos was shown during the South Korean boy band’s fourth and last straight show at Allegiant Stadium. “We are bulletproof,” the dramatic teaser film concluded, followed by a date: June 10, 2022.

The pop sensation’s record label, Big Hit Music, confirmed the pending release of the band’s new album in a statement posted on the Weverse on Sunday, according to Billboard. The confident slogan has been part of BTS’s songs and brand since the group’s formation, but it’s unclear if “We Are Bulletproof” is the project’s title.

According to Billboard, Big Hit Music confirmed, “BTS will be back with another new album on June 10, 2022. Details on the new album will be provided in a separate notice at a later date. We look forward to your love and support for BTS’ new album. Thank you.”

The news comes only a day after BTS finished its Permission to Dance on Stage, in Las Vegas, which took place on April 8-9 and again on April 15-16.

BTS was nominated for pop duo/group performance for the second year in a row at the 64th Grammy Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me” beat out the septet’s hit track “Dynamite” in 2021. Doja Cat and SZA’s “Kiss Me More” won over “Butter” this time.

Jungkook, RM, Jin, Suga, V, J-Hope, and Jimin also performed a smooth jazzy interpretation of “Butter” at the Grammys this year, with a cameo from “Drivers License” vocalist Olivia Rodrigo.

BTS member RM said last weekend “Guys, I know there’s a lot of noises out there about our Grammys and the team itself.”

Referring to the fans, he said, “But, you know, why give a s— about it? … We didn’t come to Vegas for the Grammys. We came to Vegas for the ARMYs. The record, the title, the accomplishments, the trophies, they’re really important, but that wasn’t the first thing, the first reason why we started all these things, right?”
