SOPHIE‘s self-titled posthumous album is due to be released soon. Now the complete tracklist of the album is out. Yesterday, on September 17th, the late music producer and songwriter’s estate revealed the posthumous record’s tracklist to celebrate a special occasion. September 17th, 2024 would have been the artist’s 38th birthday. Sophie Xeon, or known as SOPHIE was a hyper-pop pioneer. The PC Music affiliate passed away tragically on January 30, 202. Aged 34, the musician had an accidental fall from a three-story building in Athens, causing her premature passing away.

The eponymous posthumous album for the music producer was announced in this year’s June. According to the estate, the album will be released on September 27th, via Transgressive Records and Future Classic. This will be with the help of her long-time studio manager, and brother Benny Long. According to the late musician’s estate announcement, the posthumous album will have 16 tracks in total. However, the album is full of collaborations and features that include celebrated artists like Nina Kraviz, Kim Petras, Juliana Huxtable, Jozzy, BIG SISTER, BC KINGDOM, Popstar, Evita Manji, and more.

Four singles from the album have been previewed so far. These are, ‘Reason Why (featuring Kim Petras)’, ‘Berlin Nightmare (featuring Evita Manji)’, ‘One More Time‘ and ‘Exhilarate (featuring Bibi Bourelly)’. For her 38th birthday, the late musician was honored by Google Doodle with a short video. The tracklist reveal came just after Google Doodle’s honor. The clip had a soundtrack of ‘Immaterial’, a single taken from her debut album ‘Oil Of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides’. The clip also features various portraits of SOPHIE. The clip also had the late singer’s portraits along with her Monomachine, the synthesizer she used to make her evocative sounds.

Charli XCX was among many artists who paid tribute to the music producer earlier this year. She mentioned the producer and songwriter on the song ‘So I’ from her latest album ‘Brat’. The song is about Charli’s regrets about the insecurities, which prevented her from collaborating with SOPHIE as closely as she wanted to. “There was a lot of distance between us because I was in awe of her and wanted to impress her,” Charlie told The Face earlier this year in an interview. St. Vincent paid homage to SOPHIE as well on her most recent LP ‘All Born Screaming’.
