Grammy award-winning R&B artist Monica creates another milestone in her musical career with her latest medley performance in Soul Train Awards 2020.
On Sunday night, 29th November delivers a flawless medley performance of her greatest hits like ‘Trenches’, ‘Don’t Take It Personal’, ‘Before You Walk Out My Life’, ‘Angel of Mine’, ‘So Gone’, and ‘Everything To Me’. Dressed in black attire and with an exquisite musical arrangement, the artist has set the stage on fire.
She was honored with the Lady of Soul Award at the 2020 Soul Train Awards which is a significant notch and the highest honor bestowed by the show for her precious contribution to the music industry.
She received the award and gave an emotional speech thanking her family and all the people who have helped her to achieve this title. She said, “The little girl, that was constantly told what she couldn’t do it, did it because you’ve been there and because you consistently supported me”.
Monica Denise Arnold, also known as Monica is the sixth artist who received this award. She started her musical career in her teen years and burst into the industry with her debut album ‘Miss Thang’.
She thanked God for helping her in creating more music and said “I have accomplished a lot, but there’s so much more I’d like to do because I believe he’s still carrying me.”
