Everyone is making their own efforts in keeping themselves entertained during the COVID-19 lockdown. Well, the entertainment sector has come up with their responsibility of keeping the audience entertained, with Milky Chance releasing an EP of acoustic, without violating the lockdown i.e. recording it from their respective homes.
The ‘Stay Home Sessions’ of Milky Chance consists of re-recorded versions of four soundtracks of ‘Mind The Moon’, the band’s 2019 album.
The members of the band said, ‘Since we all need to stay home but wanted to continue making music together, we came up with these multi-home-recorded acoustic versions.’
They also said, ‘We’re sending love to all of you! Stay safe everybody!’
Milky Chance also took assistance from additional musicians for the recording, including the renowned drummer, Sebastian Schmidt. The track ‘Eden’s House’ has featured a choir of the fans of the band, who have provided back-up vocals to the track, originally crafted by Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
At this moment, the German band is preparing themselves for performing at the Lady Gaga curated event, ‘One World: Together At Home’, organized in support of frontline medical workers, scheduled to go live on April 18. It is scheduled to feature over 100 artists, including Paul McCartney, John Legend, The Killers, Billie Eilish, and Stevie Wonder.
Milky Chance had launched a blog during the latter part of 2019, titled Milky Change. The blog was launched for discussing environmental issues through music and also offer some sustainability tips to the fans.
They mentioned in a statement, ‘Our goal is to shine some light on the issue of climate change and sustainability and how this specifically affects the world of music. Let’s radiate goodness and make a difference.’
