Burning Man festival is one of the popular events that focuses on art, community, and self-expression held in the western part of the United States. This year the event was scheduled from 27th August to 4th September. But thousands of audience got stuck in the Nevada desert attending the festival. Heavy rain occurred in that area and created an unpleasant situation for the people who got trapped. People were ordered to move to the Black Rock Desert to take shelter. They were also told to save food, drinking water, and fuel until the weather got better.
The organizers of the event informed that the roads remain closed because they are ‘too wet and muddy’. They told the sources that few cars got to leave the place but others got stuck in the mud. Furthermore, they added, ‘Please do NOT drive at this time, We will update you on the driving ban after this weather front has left the area.’

The authorities of Burning Man have shut the gate, not allowing anyone to leave or join the festival place. Only the emergency vehicles are allowed to move if required. The event’s airport remains closed as well. Burning Man organizers mentioned in a statement, ‘We do not currently have an estimated time for the roads to be dry enough for RVs or vehicles to navigate safely,’ Furthermore, they added, ‘Monday late in the day would be possible if weather conditions are in our favor. It could be sooner.’
Diplo who was at the Burning Man Festival, however, got a chance to leave the event’s place with Chris Rock. Later, he took a ride from a fan on the road. He tweeted about his experience at the festival, ‘Just walked 5 miles in the mud out of burning Man with chris rock and a fan picked us up,’
Meanwhile, the energy is pretty much elevated inside the city. The sound of music comes from many camps around, and the spirits of the fans are not easy to demean, they organize dance parties under the tents even in the mud. Many of them are out roaming around the city walking barefoot, others wearing plastic bags.
The headcount of Black Rock City is around 73 thousand. Near about 20 thousand attendants came to the event via Burner Bus. The authority states that transports will be working in a first-come, first-served manner when the vehicles will be allowed to move again.
