City Girls were nominated in the Best Duo or Group category at the 15th annual BET Hip Hop Awards 2020. The Florida duo Yung Miami and JT performed their songs ‘Pussy Talk’ and ‘Jobs’ from their recent album ‘City on Lock’ with an awestruck performance. However, the name of the song is changed to ‘Kitty Talk’ from ‘Pussy Talk’ in order to make it FCC friendly to broadcast.
Competing with other artists like JackBoys, Earthgang, Migos, Chris Brown and Young Thug, Run the Jewels, etc was not very easy. Chris Brown and Young Thug took the award home but the performance by the City Girls was on a whole new level. They started with The song ‘Pussy Talk’ or “kitty Talk’ which was featured by Doja Cat. It started on a Forest stage setting where the Duo and the co-performers were dressed up in leopard skinned attire on a felled trunk of a tree. Later they danced in the water with a group of dancers. Then comes the song ‘Jobs’ which had a fiery backdrop.
Both of the songs appear on their first studio album,’ City on lock’ which was dropped in June. Last month the rappers hopped on a remix of ‘Do It’ with Doja Cat, Mulatto, and Chole X Halle. Their latest remix with DaBaby of Moneybagg Yo’s single ‘Said Sum’ is roaming in the top 100 songs list already.
