Zenlightened Grooves Releases Its 1st Album, Zenlightened Grooves – Volume I

The new album containing 20 brand new lofi compositions written, arranged, and produced by Darrell T. Johnson, will soon be available for pre-order through Spotify on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, and officially released to all digital outlets including iTunes, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and iHeart Radio (to name a few) Friday, May 20th, 2024. “I am extremely excited about this new project. It has been a true labor of love, and I’m so thrilled to finally have it completed and available to the public,” said Darrell.

Many enthusiastic listeners have already been enjoying the creative artistry of Zenlightened Grooves by tuning into Zenlightened Grooves Radio, a 24/7 Live music channel on YouTube. Finally, many of the same songs heard on this station will now be available digitally for audiences to download and enjoy.  These primarily instrumental tracks (with minor vocal elements) are great for meditating, contemplating, studying, relaxing, working, jogging, cruising, or just chillin’. They are designed to stimulate the senses and open the heart. Zenlightened Grooves – Volume I is the first installment (20 tracks) of what will be an ongoing series of ZLG releases in this ambient lofi genre. “Over the last several months I have been composing and producing music like crazy, and what I believe this first album will offer its listeners is an excellent and unique musical experience. Darrell T. Johnson has been a professional musician, composer, and producer for over 30 years. He has worked with such notable artists as Jaco Pastorius, Carmen Lundy, Chuck Brown, and Peaches & Herb. He has also written and produced industrial music for radio and TV, including BET. Currently, all tracks of Zenlightened Grooves are the creation of Darrell T. Johnson, but the project hopes to eventually include other artists and compilations in the future.
