As a fan myself, I was scrolling through YouTube when I got a recommendation for the artist, and his new track ‘Darius Rucker -Alright’ impressed me the most. I have listened to various covers before, but there are not many cover songs that could maintain their originality while bringing out the new and modernized version. This track by Lawson did that for me and did that flawlessly. You can listen to the original essence of the track, which was sung by Darius Rucker in 2008, but that does not mean it is a blatant copy or just a cover. This newly released track is much more than that, the artist has put a fine balance of his own twist along with the original essence of the track.
Mike Lawson has always been passionate about music, but it was not until he worked with the United States Army that his interest and passion for music piqued. While he played in various local bands, he wanted to release solo music.
