A supremely well-arranged album ‘Down FM’ released by The Weeknd has shade light on several heart-wrenching stories that will make the listeners fall in love.

This extremely talented artist The Weeknd has offered another compelling album. 2022 has started with all the baggage of sadness and uncertainty of life just tune into 103.5 ‘Down FM’ and release the long-held back sorrows and jaw clench along with these songs. He has mastered the art of making music that is completely soaked in heartwarming feelings with simple wording and heavenly tunes. The contemporary and R&B alternative genres have gained many gripping numbers made by him since the starting days of his career. This album is also co-produced by Republic Records and his own label XO record label. The tracks are infused with a vintage aura of the time when radio was the prominent source of releasing music and enjoying it.

This album Down FM has sixteen songs and each one describe a different uneasy feeling that everyone experiences each day. The quirky humor present in each song is just pleasantly relevant amongst all this chaos. The depths of the lyrics of these songs are very much in sync with this present society. This album offers tracks like ‘I heard you’re married’ which feature Lil Wayne is very melodious. ‘Less Than Zero’, ‘Take My Breath’, ‘Gasoline’, ‘and Sacrifice’ is very well-made songs offered in this album. ‘A Tale by Quincy’ offers a poem with a terrifying story delivered that is completely soaked with humane sufferings. ‘Phantom Regret by Jim’ is another poem with some heartfelt lines. ‘How do I make you love me?’ is also investing number with the tingling feeling of admiration. The piece of Quincy Jones is also impressively enthralling.

As the title says the album is released in form of a radio program along with the classic way of representing songs. A Cover photo of him with a convincing old man makeup gives the album a more authenticated aura. This album offers a journey that will take you along an old dusty memory lane that essentially evokes self positivity. The voice-over by Jim Carrey as a Radio Jokey, the poems recited by him have given the album the maturity of ecstasy. The assuring voice of Jim Carrey saying ‘we’ll be there to hold your hand and guide you through this painless transition’ just before the second track ‘Gasoline’. The quirk and wit of Jim Carrey combined with the truthfulness of Abel Tesfaye, The Weeknd have made this great concoction of melody. The year has just started and already gained a great album like this one.
