When you think about Hindi rap music, mostly fast-paced lyrics and an amalgamation of background scores are what come to mind and one of the most famous Hindi rappers is none other than Honey Singh. But for the past decades, his tracks might have gained mass popularity but Honey Singh himself in a recent interview expressed that he was never satisfied with what he had written. One of his most famous tracks ‘Blue Hain Paani Paani’, according to him, was the most nonsense track he had written but the audience seemed to love it. But this time he had a surprise for the audience. The most anticipated comeback of all time has happened. With the blockbuster album ‘Glory’ Honey Singh has made the Indians go crazy over his tracks once more.

The track ‘Bonita’ from ‘Glory’ is of a different kind which is the amalgamation of different genres blended masterfully. The intro of the track is created with classy, low-key synths which are accompanied by vocal harmony and have the capability to make the listeners speculate what is about to come next, the background score makes the audience excited for the next part. The whole video gives out an international vibe due to the outstanding production quality. The most enigmatic part of ‘Bonita’ is the transition from Honey Singh’s rapping verses to Shams’ eccentric Kawali. This fusion took everyone by surprise and the vocal strength of Shams was beautifully portrayed in the song.

Visually, the look and feel of the video is quite classy and very much unexpected if you look at Hone Singh’s previous tracks. The Whole video has some branding color which is emphasized by golden lighting and people starring in black outfits. The opening shot shows the rapper burning money, showing off his dashing salt and pepper look, but the whole color palette shifts completely to white at 2 minutes into the video which grabs the attention of the viewers profoundly. Then again the branding color theme takes the centre stage where Honey Singh is seen busting some pretty cool dance moves in a boxing ring.

One thing worth mentioning is the fusion of different genres and styles which is amazingly displayed in this song. Kawali, an Indian genre mashed up with rap while being accompanied by a Brazilian dance beat and a continuous background music which could have become monotonous if someone else had produced the track but with Honey Singh as the master, the continuous beat boosted energy made the whole ordeal something for everyone to look out for. The whole video and the music production scream about the new vision and perspective Honey Singh holds for his upcoming musical journey.
