When we get down with the burdens of life, we often turn towards music as a medium of escape. As of me, I always count on Martin Wardley and his beautifully portrayed music that instantly transports me to a different world. His lyrics are calming; his melody line is sorted and always has something personal to offer. I would particularly like to highlight one of his tracks titled ‘The Illusionist’ that immediately connected with my senses and gave me the perfect run away from reality. Everything in the song including his deep and gravitating voice, the acoustic instrumental setting, and the enchanting vibe seems to fall perfectly into an arrangement so melodious and soothing.
‘The Illusionist’ is the song that you would like to cherish like looking into a distant landscape and feel the cool breeze touching your face. Martin Wardley is a singer/ songwriter from Cumbria whose music is versatile and drives inspiration from punk, folk, electronic, classical, and many others. It appeals differently to everybody, sometimes dark, and sometimes feathery. To me, his music is like a hope that has maintained its impact amidst all changes. Listen to him on SoundCloud, and Spotify and follow the singer on Facebook, and Instagram for details.
