The emerging and versatile talent and Pop music artist from Perth, O’Neill Fernandes is back with brand new music that is creating a buzz in the music industry.
A few days back I opened Soundcloud in search of some fresh sound as the music streaming platform is one of my favorite places to discover underrated music and artists who need more recognition. In that search, I came across a new album titled ‘Classic Rock…Vol.8‘ by O’Neill Fernandes, the talented Pop music artist. I was completely spellbound by the artistry of the album and the artist’s caliber of covering classics and giving them his touch of modernity and high pace. The album is a cover album containing 20 tracks from the period of 1953 to 2012. The songs are old rock classics of different eras with their themes and compositions.
One of these tracks is ‘Pretend’, originally released in 1953 and written in 1952 by Dan Belloc, Lew Douglas, Cliff Parman, and Frank Levere. The Pop music artist from Perth has given the track a higher pace and took it to another level while keeping its true essence of it. Another track, ‘Can The Can‘, released in 1973 by Suzi Quatro also showcased the artist’s caliber. The most alluring thing for me was O’Neill Fernandes’ ability to take the old classics and make them their own. The album also has other tracks such as ‘All Summer Long (Sweet Home Alabama)’, ‘You Can Do Magic’, ‘Drive By’, and ‘San Francisco Bay’ which you can listen to on Soundcloud. For further information, you can also follow him on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
