A few days back, I had the opportunity to listen to the bright and young rising star of the music industry, Nerys Apple. On Spotify, she has released a fresh EP titled ‘Habitual’ which has made me keep the entire piece on repeat. From the entire EP, if I could select my favorites that would definitely be the title track, ‘Habitual’, ‘Like A Tail’, ‘Into You‘, and ‘Blame‘. I was completely blown away by the composition of the track and how they were able to make me feel so bright and energetic yet thoughtful with the lyrics.
If I had to pinpoint one single great thing about these tracks, it would most definitely be the passion for songwriting. It is hard to imagine a young artist like Nerys Apple can express herself so well in songwriting that will make you feel all kinds of things. Her voice is also commendable as it has the perfect balance of quirkiness that you will see in pop music. On top of that, the compositions of ‘Habitual’, ‘Like A Tail’, ‘Into You’, and ‘Blame’, are unique in their own sense and follow different storylines yet will carry the same bright and colorful pop themes.
