Billy London’s Diverse Musical Pursuits Are Evident With “Shape Shifter”

4.6/5 by Daily Music Roll

Billy London weaves rhythmic diversity across pop and EDM landscapes, fascinating.

‘Shape Shifter’ the new single from his forthcoming long-play, The Ballad of Billy London is a creative collaboration with Kraft Moore. Here, Billy London effortlessly explores dance, rhythm and soul landscapes, critiquing that moment in the relationship when you finally meet the real person.‘Where Did Your Love Go?’ leverages urban sounds but does not stray too far from his tendency for lush music. This song makes me want to fall in love, and break up, just to feel the heart ache and longing that this song projects. Two Billy London’s songs that have created a lasting impression on me because of their creative ambiguity are ‘Save Our Love (Remix)’ in collaboration with Starmist and ‘Breathing Under Water’. His lyrical and vocal spontaneity is so captivating that he is currently ruling the top spot of my playlist.

Shape Shifter is the seventh single from the forthcoming long play, “The Ballad of Billy London”, an album in 12 parts, released one song each month in 2020. The complete album will drop with new recordings on New Years Day 2021.

London has engaged in many musical explorations including founding Blisstunes Recording Corp., recording and mixing records for “A” list label talent, producing music for film and TV, and working in artist development. Now, he is back and looking to introduce the world to new music and artists, sharing his personal journey along the way. As a producer, writer, and engineer, London played a major role in the early careers of Sevyn Streeter, Jhene, Marques Houston, Omarion, and B2K. A highlight of his career was working with Destiny’s Child and Chaka Khan.
