AC/DC

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their most popular studio album Back in Black, legendary Australian rock band AC/DC has surprised the fans with another iconic record called Power Up. Consisting of 12 classic numbers, the album is like a breath of fresh air in the rock ‘n roll community after such a long period. The album opens with the fine track named ‘Realize’ that is bound to engulf all the senses of the audience with its classic reverberated sounds and textures. The pure nostalgia in the songs amplified by the artists’ electrifying vocal performances captures the attention of the global rock scene.

The new album is set to make a permanent place in the hearts of the hardcore fans as it welcomes the classic members of the band Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams, who were no longer a part of the band after the band’s last tour wrapped up in 2016. In the place of the late master guitarist Malcolm Young, Stevie Young is fulfilling his legacy with utmost dedication. Malcolm Young is co-credited on every track of the album. According to guitarist Angus Young, the album Power Up is a tribute to his brother late Malcolm Young similar to Back in Black, which was a tribute to Bon Scott.

AC/DC

According to fans, the album could be the finest album of the band after their 1990’s album The Razors Edge. The lead single of the album ‘Shot in the Dark’ possesses the signature exuberance of the band with its poised outcome of dynamic hooks and riffage. All the tracks in the album maintain a consistent level of energy and quality making the album their finest in recent times. The album is almost reminiscent of the band’s classic Back in Black with its iconic tunes and power-packed vocal performance.

Angus Young revitalized some unused riffs that he compose with Malcolm Young and created some of the most ethereal beats in the album. The tracks like ‘System Down’ and ‘Code Red’ are rich in magnificent instrumental riffs that are the brainchild of Angus and Malcolm. The songs ‘Kick You When You’re Down’ and ‘Witch’s Spell’ offer the astonishing vocal dexterity of Johnson featuring his signature howl with a great hold on the melody that fires up the whole production of the songs. AC/DC has once again shown their superiority through the album. The album is available on all major music streaming platforms.
