Lisa teams up with Doja Cat and Raye for a sexy new single ‘Born Again’. The music video is now streaming on YouTube and it is already creating waves for the artist.
Lisa from BLACKPINK is not done showcasing her Alter Ego as her new single presents her in a confident and sexy avatar. ‘Born Again’ is the new single from Lisa’s upcoming debut solo studio album. The Thai rapper and K-pop star teamed up with Doja Cat and Raye to present the audience with this new disco-tinged tune. The video showcases all the women in a sleek black-and-white mansion, looking nothing but stunning and intimidating.
The disco tune folds in elements of electro-pop, giving the entire song a pumping energy. Lisa and Raye join their joint forces in the first verse and give listeners a trade and an enchanting chorus. Right after their chorus, the song lands on Doja’s palm which she absolutely devours. In the second verse, Lisa seemed like a guest on her own song because of the energy, class, and allurement Doja brings with her rap verse. However, this only shows the greatness of Lisa and the ultimate goal of her to make this song something that reflects female power. Lisa proved that she was secure in her art enough that she let Doja and Raye shine respectively!
The single drips in all the right places and gains great benefits every time the vocal arrangement brings up more spice. The K-pop star’s portions of the track highlight her vocal prowess as she let the brief rap verses set for her collaborators curiously enough. However, the arrangement on the song could have been traded anytime and the composition would still come out as great as it is now. This is further proof of how charismatic these three have performed on the track. When it comes to the production of the song, it is loud, something that the pop industry realized that it was missing out on. It almost comes off as a dark club sound that we had previously lost in the y2k era, always keeping its sense of momentum. The video complements the music so heavily, loud makeup looks, pretty gowns, and absolutely gorgeous three women – it is impossible to take your eyes off the screen even for a second.

‘Born Again’ is just a taste of what Lisa is bringing with her upcoming solo debut studio album ‘Alter Ego’. The K-pop superstar announced in November that this album will showcase five different characters (Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni, and Speedi) and they will represent a unique personality together. The album will be released on February 28th. This album will also bear a prove of the musician’s perfectionism. “I’m trying to figure it out, the tracklist and everything, what I can change in there,” she explained. “Everything’s there. I think they’re going to be shocked at how capable I am [at] doing so many things.”
