The progressive Jazz fusion band Ujig launched a levitating musical number ‘Pohjoinen’ that offers an infusion of classic orchestra alongside new-age Jazzy flavor.
The progressive Jazz fusion band Ujig has offered a song ‘Pohjoinen‘. The first time I came across this song I was speechless. The musical aura of this song will take the listeners along with a journey. And apart from that, the infusion of the classic orchestra along with modern Jazz made the song more compelling to listen to. I have listened to it repeatedly as it felt like I didn’t have enough of it. The freshness of the jazz part is surely ecstatic. And the opening orchestra portion made me nostalgic. This particular song is a part of an album named Ujigami. The whole album is completely saturated with songs that offer levitating musical fields.
The band Ujig was formed back in 2014 when the band members were taking workshops at Berklee College of Music. Konstantin Kräutler, Edoardo Maggioni, Marco Leo, and Cesare Pizzetti started to record their first album in the December of 2014. And by far they have offered three extremely well-arranged albums. In ‘Pohjoinen’ they have collaborated with Bow Tie Orchestra from Moscow. Apart from this, the album has seven other songs, which are ‘Ehiku’, ‘Mea e Pau’, ‘Odota’, ‘Pokemon Shock’, ‘Yugen’, ‘Gnawa’, and ‘Tano’, all of them offer a separate flavor to the listener. Follow them on YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, and Instagram.
